Plane Ride over the Grand Canyon
We took an hour-long ride in a small propeller plane over the Grand Canyon.
The beauty and immenseness really is Grand.
Pictures are not the same as being there,
but enlarging the pictures (by clicking on them) helps a little.
The canyon was carved out by the Colorado River over a period of an estimated three to six million years.
Being August, the river level was much lower than at other times of the year,
but it could still be seen easily from the plane.
