Weidemeyer Family Reunion
June 2005


The family converged on the little town of Helen, Georgia, around 90 miles north of Atlanta. The town is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River. It's a re-creation of an alpine village done in a Bavarian style, with Lake Unicoi nearby.

The younger family members (and a few older ones) took advantage of the river tubing, and everyone enjoyed the restaurants serving German food.

The best part, though, was just hanging around the family. The kids played games and made t-shirts, the adults told stories of the old days, and we all caught up on each others' lives.
